E-blast sent to supporters 5/24/14:
Sharing this message, below, from Rural Communities United regarding the initiative petition - Elections has verified there are adequate signatures and the initiative is headed for the November ballot!  WE GET TO VOTE on whether we want the General Plan amended to allow the large subdivisions of Dixon Ranch, Marble and Lime Rock Valley, San Stino, and the EDH golf course rezone.

Next step is Board certification, which is generally a 'rubber stamp' of the numbers presented by Elections to the Board in their next meeting.  Next meeting is June 10th - watch for the agenda to be released for confirmation!

We need to be sure that by November, people understand the difference between the RCU initiative that stops these large subdivisions (...Measure "letter" to be assigned by Elections after BOS certification...) and the Region Builders initiative that encourages them, particularly those within the Community Regions.

Here's to another step on the path to Success!

Message shared from Rural Communities United 5/22:

We just received word from County Elections.  It’s official!...

Rural Communities United petition circulators obtained sufficient signatures to place the ‘Fix Highway 50 Traffic First/Keep us Rural’ initiative on the November ballot!

A huge thank you goes out to all of our supporters and active teams that made this happen!

We have a 6 month run up to the November elections. Please help us continue to spread the word in support of our initiative. We have an active campaign road show to inform people of the benefits this initiative brings to our communities and to answer any questions regarding the initiative. Please introduce us to any organizations you belong to (clubs, home owners associations, community organizations, schools etc.) so we can arrange to meet with them in the upcoming months.

Thank you again for all of your support!
